Sweet potato.

There's nothing like a good, down home sweet potato pie -- and if you're looking for a good one in Central Arkansas, it's no further away than North Little Rock.

Lindsey's Hospitality House does several pies well, including a smooth egg custard and a good deal of fried pies. But the sweet potato pie is quite marvelous.  Packed with nutmeg and allspice, smooth yet firm, it's a slice of the Earth in all its splendor.

Don't ask for ice cream, though.
