Java Primo is a jamming joint out on Central Avenue about halfway between the bypass and Lake Hamilton. Its baristas can make a mean Americano, and the sandwiches are prime.
And then there's this unusual pie. It's a sweet potato pie, but it's balanced out with not only a crumbly streusel top but a caramel syrup pool of connection. The salty crust and the thickly spiced sweet potato brings it together as a sweet and marvelous almost-meal.
