Bourbon chocolate chunk pecan.

One of our favorite pies in the state happens to be served up at a progressive ever-greening restaurant in Fayetteville called the Greenhouse Grille. Chef Jerrmy Gawthrop serves up an excellent slice of tastyness called the Bourbon Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie.

It starts with the marvelous blind-baked crust; with its melted-on layer of chocolate chips, it has the flavor of a chocolate chip cookie. More chunks of chocolate are incorporated in the brown sugar and bourbon custard, and it's all crowned with pecans. The brown sugar gives the crust an almost brownie-like crispness. Paired with vanilla ice cream, chocolate drizzle and seasonally-available fruit, it is a slice of pure happiness.
